Below you will find the instructions on how to connect to your OFA MotiveWave charting software with free real time data. If you have any questions or we can help with anything along the way, please let us know.

Your CQG Username and Password is emailed separately by CQGTrader@cqg.com with the subject line “Demo Login Credentials”. Please note this email normally takes about 10 – 15 minutes to receive. If you can’t find the email with your login credentials after about 15 minutes please let us know and we will get you setup with a new login.

Download OFA MotiveWave

• First download and install the OFA MotiveWave software:
  • Download for Windows: https://www.motivewave.com/update/download.do?file_type=INSTALL
  • Download for Mac: https://www.motivewave.com/update/download.do?file_type=OSX

Activate MotiveWave

• After installation, restart your OFA MotiveWave and activate your trial with the activation-key
• If you do not have an OFA MotiveWave license key, please contact support@motivewave.com
• Copy and paste your activation key into the field below:

• Click “Next”
• Create a workspace name: “Max’s Workspace”

Create Workspace – Choose a Service

• Please click the Service drop down tab and select: CQG

• Please enter in your username in the respected field and choose a “Simulated” connection.
•  Select “Finish”

Create an Account Connection

• Start MotiveWave and select your workspace from the drop down menu and select “Continue”

• From here, another box should pop up asking for your password. Please enter your username and password.
• Connection: Demo

OFA Chart Settings

• For OFA Bars, right-click on any MotiveWave chart
  • Choose Chart Settings
  • Choose Bar Settings heading
  • Bar Size: OFA Bars or OFA Linear Bars (for minute-based periods)
• For OFA Bar Logic, right click on any OFA Chart
  • Choose Chart Settings
  • Choose OFA heading
  • All settings are located under the General or Color Logic headings
